Tropical Backyard Landscaping Outdoor Tropical Plants In North Texas?

Outdoor Tropical Plants in North Texas? - tropical backyard landscaping

I live in Keller / Fort Worth, TX.
I want my garden with tropical plants.
I'd elephant ears, ti plants, such as fast-growing palm trees, bamboo, perhaps, if I can contain it, and in some tropical flowering plants.

My problem is that I know nothing about, gardening.
I need to know what type of tropical plants surrvive the year in North Texas, who has realized, and if so, can the plants in the sun to live and what plants need shade or partial shade.

Suggestions ... I have a lot of the time nothing but grass.

Thanks
Matt
